What is File Relay?

» File Relay is our solution to undersized email attachments.

File Relay allows you to share files with anyone! We are talking about realistic files: large presentations, detailed documents, and full frame video to name a few. Files which often grow to be many times the size limits of email attachments.

How Does It Work?

In the simplest terms, File Relay stores your files then generates a special URL that you share with your recipients. Each recipient follows their URL to download your files. See the steps in more detail below.

  1. Upload Your File

Use our flash based tool to upload your file to File Relay.

  2. Share the Download URLs

Share special download URLs with your recipients, which is as simple as pasting a link in an instant message conversation or using the built-in email utility.

  3. Recipients Download Your File

Each recipient uses their URL to download your file from File Relay. No registration is required to download the file and only those with a URL have access.

Why Create File Relay?

» To solve our issues with email attachments.

Due to an increase in collaboration between our branches at KIHOMAC, we were consistently having issues sharing large files. We tried several complex solutions requiring experts on both sides of the transfer, but those solutions did not fit.

We decided to create a simple solution for those who wanted to share files without sweating the details. As a result of our needs File Relay was born.
